Michael F. Hoover provides geologic, hydrologic, soil engineering

Michael founded his consulting practice in 1977. Over the
years, the firm grew from a one-person office to a moderately-sized, full-service
geotechnical firm capable of handling major projects for industrial and governmental
clients. In 2000, Michael revamped the company in order to focus on specific areas
of expertise for a more exclusive client base.
Michael has been a Registered Geologist, Certified Engineering
Geologist, and Hydrogeologist for over thirty years. He has been certified
as a ground water professional by the Association of Ground Water Scientists and
Engineers in the past and is currently a certified Manager of Landfill Operations
by the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA). Michael has bachelors
and masters degrees in geology. He is the founder and past vice president
of the Central Coast Groundwater Resources
Association, a member of the Association
of Engineering Geologists, past chairman of the COLAB Task Force evaluating
the Santa Barbara County LUFT/SMU process, and a former COLAB Member of the Year.
Michael has served as an expert witness on water rights; soil and groundwater
contamination; and geologic hazards issues.
In addition to Mr. Hoovers 20 years of consulting experience,
he manages and owns Chicago
Grade Landfill & Recycling in Templeton, California, and is responsible for environmental
compliance, permitting, and site operations.
